Saturday Nov 07, 2020
Saturday Nov 07, 2020
Ryan Yazel - Through the centuries, the Church has regularly returned to the songs and prayers of the Psalms not just to express how we feel but to let ourselves be moved by the perspectives and experiences of others in their pursuit of God. In this series, we will consider and pray through a Psalm each week to see how it forms us. This week, we consider a Psalm of praise: Psalm 146.

Jason Miller - We're returning to one of our communal practices: letting ourselves be drawn out by the questions God asks in Scripture. This week we find ourselves in the story of Job, a character who experiences trauma stacked on top of trauma. Rather than accepting the tidy solutions of his friends who are convinced that suffering and sin are always connected, he confronts God directly, and God raises his level of consciousness by asking him, Where were you when I created the earth?
